How to use Dice Roller

Roll virtual dice for free in your browser, with seven dice types and up to twenty dice per roll. This page opens the Dice Roller tab of the shared random number suite and shows a total when you roll more than one die.

Choose d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100. Set Quantity between one and twenty, then click Roll! Each result is an integer from one through the number of sides, inclusive.

Read the individual values in the result tiles. When Quantity is greater than one, Total shows their sum. Roll! replaces the previous dice results; the dice tab does not keep a roll history or apply game modifiers.

All dice in one roll use the selected type. For mixed dice, roll each type separately and record your results. Switch tabs for range-based numbers or a coin, or open the coin flip page and random integer generator directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which dice types are available?

The controls offer D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D100. Each die returns a number from one through its selected side count.

Can I roll multiple dice?

Yes, set Quantity between one and twenty before clicking Roll! All dice in that roll share the selected type, and their sum appears below the individual results.

Can I add modifiers or advantage?

The interface does not parse dice notation, modifiers, or advantage rules. Roll the dice you need and apply those rules separately.

Does D100 return zero?

No, the D100 option draws an integer from one to one hundred inclusive. It does not display a pair of percentile dice.

Are the dice results stored?

The current roll stays in component state until another roll or a page reload replaces it. There is no dice history panel or export control.
