How to use Coin Flip
Flip a coin for free in your browser and get a heads-or-tails result. This page opens directly on the Coin Flip tab of the shared random number suite and tracks your current streak.
Click Flip! to make a draw. The result appears inside an animated coin, with a line below showing how many identical results you have drawn in a row. Click again for another independent draw; the counter resets to one when the result changes.
A run of heads does not make tails due on the next flip. Each draw calls secureRandomInt with two possible values through Web Crypto. The brief animation displays the selected result rather than deciding it.
Why use UtilDaily’s Coin Flip?
- Open directly on heads or tails without changing tabs.
- Use the current streak counter to follow repeated results.
- Make each outcome with Web Crypto randomness in the shared suite component.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the virtual coin fair?
Heads and tails each correspond to one of the two possible secureRandomInt outcomes. The function uses Web Crypto with rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias.
Can I flip several coins at once?
The coin tab flips one coin per click. Click Flip! again for another result; it does not have a batch coin control.
Does the streak affect the next result?
No, the streak records consecutive identical results only. Each new flip draws again without consulting earlier outcomes.
Are flips saved after a reload?
Coin results and streaks live in component state. Reloading the page starts a new coin session.
Can I use this to decide something?
It can break a casual tie between two options you assign to heads and tails. It does not assess the merits or consequences of either option.
